Applications are invited from Cultural Groups and Individuals to perform for the next Bangamela to be held in Columbus during July 18-20, 2008. Please submit your application in children, youth or adult category.

The theme of the cultural program is Best of Bengal that includes any performing arts form. We envision the event as a Cultural Exchange primarily focusing on people of Bengali ethnicity. However, in today’s ‘flat world’ we are not constrained by any language barrier and any program that enriches our cultural experience and enlighten our audience will be entertained.

Emphasis will be given for a more homogeneous program not biasing to any particular art form. Proportion of time to be spent on any single item such as Rajnikanto or Chou Nach will be the discretion of the host committee. Although most of the performing arts programs will be conducted parallel in two main stages based on the enormous response we express our inability to accommodate all program requests. We encourage group programs from cities in North America and needless to mention quality of the program is the most important criterion of the selection process.
